Behind the Business
Meet Activate Events owner Wendy Allen and see what drives her passion and creative flare.
Wendy is passionate about supporting community organisations, small business, the rural sector and helping people gain an understanding of the origins of their food and the importance of farmers and agriculture.
She has extensive experience in developing business partnership relationships, event management including major events and state-wide conferences, sponsorship, education and training, and coordinating major projects as well as wide industry knowledge in agriculture and small business. Wendy has qualifications in Education, Business, Rural Business Management, Management, Project Management, Conservation & Land Management and Training & Assessment.

Wendy is the director of Activate – Inspiration + Experiences (known as Activate Events). She is also the director of WA Initiatives, a project management and consulting business, Bush Christmas, a major arts & craft exhibition supporting rural regional and remote artisans & gourmet producers, and Stored Naturally, manufacturing an all-natural, chemical free product which doubles the life of your fruit & vegetables.
Wendy has always embraced creativity, a passion inspired by her artistic mother. Raised on a grain and cattle property in northern NSW, she later went on to own and run a sheep and cattle property in western Queensland with her family and two children before selling their property and moving to Highfields.
